CatalogLens AI

Support and documentation

Learn how to run a read-only catalog audit, review evidence, download reports, and understand plan-specific controls.

Getting started

  1. Install CatalogLens AI and approve its single read_products permission.
  2. Open Plans and billing to review the available Launch, Growth, and Scale plans.
  3. Open Lens dashboard and select Start catalog scan. The scan reads product data but never writes changes to Shopify.
  4. Open Products to filter findings, then open a product audit to review its score, evidence, dimensions, and quick wins.
  5. Open Scan history to download the report formats included with the active plan.
  6. Use Settings to review eligible schedules, retention, AI usage, and Scale rule controls.

Repair briefs and readiness recommendations are review material. CatalogLens AI does not automatically edit products or promise rankings, traffic, or sales outcomes.

Frequently asked questions

Does the app change products?

No. CatalogLens AI requests read-only product access and does not write product fields.

What does a readiness score mean?

It summarizes deterministic checks across product identity, description, structure, media, commerce, and channel signals.

Can I review the evidence?

Yes. Each finding includes the affected dimension, supporting evidence, and prioritized quick wins.

Are AI drafts published automatically?

No. Requested Repair briefs remain human-review drafts and are never written directly to Shopify.

Why are some controls unavailable?

Product limits, report formats, schedules, history, and AI quotas depend on the active Shopify plan.

How do I request help?

Use the support email displayed on the CatalogLens AI Shopify App Store listing and include the shop domain and a short description. Do not include passwords or access tokens.

Additional documentation

Scans

A scan reads product pages in bounded batches, records catalog snapshots, and calculates readiness results. Closing the browser does not cancel background processing.

Reports

Completed scans can produce plan-eligible Markdown, CSV, or white-label text exports. Report and scan retention follows the active plan.

Schedules

Eligible merchants can configure weekly or daily scans. Scheduled work uses the same read-only catalog access as a manual scan.

Privacy and deletion

CatalogLens AI supports Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. See the privacy policy for processing and deletion details.
